It looks like the Motorola FIRE will be available to buy SIM Free next month, and price isn't that bad. You can pick the New Motorola Fire for £180 + vat, and Clove are looking to take pre-order on their site very shortly, there is no news on a release date as of yet.
Moreover, there is no news on any UK networks taking this handset on...
So what's the Motorola FIRE all about? well that handset was announced back in June 2011, and it's powered by Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) operating system. The FIRE boosts a 2.8-inch Touchscreen, with a screen pixel size of 320 x 240. It also comes with a portrait QWERTY keypad. Hmm… This handset is very 'BlackBerry' like! I wonder where they got their design inspiration from?!
The other interesting feature on the Motorola Fire is its 'Switch UI'. Motorola hasn't officially announced the new name for their user interface, but we like the sound of 'Switch UI', so we'll stick with that for now. Other features include a 3 mega-pixel rear facing camera, up to 32GB of expandable storage, HSDPA and WiFi connectivity, and a 1420mAh battery.
