Finally after all the speculation, Samsung have confirmed that the very smart Samsung Galaxy R will be release in the UK, but there aren't any details on pricing, release dates or which of the UK networks will be taking this handset on.
The Samsung Smartphone was given the official UK release go-ahead yesterday, and it will be the first Galaxy mobile phone to feature Nvidia's amazing 1GHz dual-core processor.
This new chipset comes paired with Nvidia Geforce GPU, which effectively makes it a much more powerful Smartphone than the Samsung Galaxy S2. What do you think about that? This new processor also enables users to access optimised video games via the Tegra Zone app.
Feature wise, the Samsung Galaxy R is pretty impressive! It boosts the Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS, a 5.0 mega-pixel HD camera with added 720p HD video recording support, and 1080p video playback support. The Galaxy r also features a 4.2-inch Super LCD Touchscreen, and an additional 1.3-mega-pixel VGA camera for video calls. Storage isn't bad either, as the Touchscreen phone comes with 8GB of internal storage with microSD expansion capabilities. The dimensions suggest a slightly bigger design than the Galaxy 2 S, with the Galaxy R measuring up at 25.7 x 66.7 x 9.55 mm.
