It has finally been announced that Samsung Galaxy Xcover will be release in the UK next week. This information comes to us via Clove, who are normally very accurate when it comes to information like this.
The information we have received from Clove goes on to say that Samsung's debut rugged smartphone will be arriving on the UK shelves at around 9th January. There has been a lot on confiseion about this handset as the expected release date for this Mobile Phone was sometime in Q4. Big phone retail giant Clove have also started taking pre-orders for the Galaxy Exreme Xcover on their website, pricing up the Mobile Phone at a very reasonable £226.80. That's not a bad price at all!
So what's the Samsung Galaxy Xcover all about then? Well its Samsung attempted at creating a rugged outdoors handset for people who need that little protection when they are out and about. The Samsung comes with a scratch-proof reinforced screen, which Samsung promises will be 'up to four to five times stronger' than a regular display. Also, the Samsung Xcover is resistant against dust, water drops, and up to one meter of water for up to 30 minutes.

Let's take a look inside the phone now. Well, the device is a Samsung-branded Android smartphone, so you will find a whole host of the usual goodies Google has to offer. The phone supports an 800MHz single-core chipset, a 3.2 mega-pixel camera with LED flash, integrated GPS, HSDPA, WiFi and Bluetooth. Samsung's TouchWiz UI dresses the 3.65-inch touchscreen, offering one-touch access to Samsung Hubs, Facebook and Twitter and thousands of apps from the Android Market.
