Today Sony Ericsson has announced the arrival of their new Android Smartphone. The Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman. This new mobile phone from Sony Ericsson is a cheap Android phone with very cool social twist.
Sony Ericsson is well known for their 'Walkman' brand and if you go back a few years it was 'the' music device to have. But since the introduction of the iPhone, Sony Ericcson's Walkman stance has taken a back seat. It looks like they want to reclaim that top spot after teaming up with Android for their new Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman Smartphone.

The phone has a dedicated Walkman key for instant access to Sony's entertainment software. The handset also boosts Qriocity music and video content services, a media discovery application, the Shazam-esque TrackID, and xLOUD technology, which produces enhanced audio output. This really is a handset for the music lover!
Feature wise, the Smartphone is running on a 1GHz processor, and as we mentioned earlier, it's powered by Google's Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS. The screen is a 3.2 (480 x 320) capacitive screen, and its camera has a perfectly acceptable 5 mega-pixels, with HD shooter technology. DLN, HSDPA, WiFi connectivity, and up to 32GB of expandable memory.
Sony Ericsson has this to say about the announcement:
"Consumers want smartphones to deliver a rich and social entertainment experience. Rather than a one dimensional music experience, they want instant and seamless access to new content, combined with the ability to share and connect with their friends. The Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman provides exactly this, in a powerful package with great style."
According Sony Ericsson, the phone will be available globally from Q4 2011. As always we'll keep you updated.
