
So Apple have finally confirmed that apples iOS will have an update in a few months. Apple has announced that iOS 5, OS X Lion and iCloud will have a mention in during a keynote seminar at WWDC 2011 on June 6th. It was only a few months ago an update to iOS 4 was the big buzz around the internet only a few months ago, it seems now everyone has iOS 5 on their minds. I know I have! :)
There has been a lot of iOS 5 rumours and speculation surrounding the launch of iOS 5 and iCloud, we'll have to keep you updated after next week's keynote seminar.
Apple is also due to announce details on OS X Lion for Apple Macs, as well as the much anticipated iCloud. There has also been speculation floating around about the support for iOS5 of older Apple devices. It has been suggested that the update will not be supported on iPhone 3G S! I guess we'll find out next week.
In the official Apple press release, it states:
"Apple CEO Steve Jobs and a team of Apple executives will kick off the company's annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) with a keynote address on Monday, June 6." "At the keynote, Apple will unveil its next generation software - Lion, the eighth major release of Mac OS X; iOS 5, the next version of Apple's advanced mobile operating system which powers iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch; and iCloud, Apple's upcoming cloud services offering."
