So we blogged a few days ago about the new Windows Phone 7 Mango update, well Microsoft have now confirmed that they are to launch a new web-based Marketplace app store. This move is to come along side the new Mango update.
The WP7 app store will allow users to download apps and remotely install them on their Windows Mobile 7 Mobile Phones. The app store will work similarly to Google’s recently launched web-based Android app market.
So Microsoft has finally caught up with Apple and Android with this new web based app store. But will it save their operating system. Some would say that they should have got it right the first time. Like the old saying goes – First impression is everything!
The official launch date as of yet, but it’s thought the web-based Windows Marketplace will launch alongside the Mango update later this year.
