So it looks like the iPhone 5 will almost certainly launch in September, but it's not going to be the device that everyone is expecting.
Sources claim that the iPhone 5 is in its final testing stage, now being carried around by 'high level Apple and carrier professionals' ahead of that September launch date.
According to sources, Apple has yet to sort out a deal for FaceTime over 3G with American networks. So what does this mean for the UK networks? My guess is that we wont see 3G Facetime in the UK for launch. Also, over-the-air updates which were mentioned at the iOS 5 launch, are also still being discussed with networks. It was also rumored to have an 8 megapixel camera, but it is now thought to only have a 5 megapixel camera.
There have also been talks about a new voice recognition feature. Details are very vague, but it's thought that iOS 5 will feature integrated speech recognition via Nuance.
This information is only whats floating around the internet, and details are still to be confirmed. Check back later, and we'll hope to give you more details ahead of that September launch date.
