So what was the most disappointing thing about the iPad 2 release? Well it has to be the lack of improvement on the display. I know that's the main reason why I didn't upgrade. Well it look like Apple are possibly releasing a new iPad 2 with a high-resolution display later this year. Reports around the internet suggest that the Apple iPad 2, which is thought to be known as the "iPad 2 Plus" will be an enhanced version of the iPad 2, which the main feature being a high-resolution display.
It is also thought that the pixel density of the new display could be double to the amount in the current iPad 2 - Somewhere between 250 to 300 pixels per inches (2048 x 1536 pixels). To me that is music to my ears! Reports suggest that Apple are currently shopping around for quotes from manufacturers in China to produce the screens.
Early reports would suggest that the new Apple iPad 2 Plus would be released alongside the iPhone 5 later this year! This is what I've been waiting for, so I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that this happens sooner rather than later. We'll keep you updated, so watch this space...
