Sony Ericsson W960iYesterday the FCC approved the Sony Ericsson W960i. Now we know that handsets being FCC approved doesn’t mean that the handset will be released in the UK, but I think it is a safe bet that the Sony Ericsson W960i will be released in the UK and it will be taken by at 3 of the big 5 networks.

The Sony Ericsson W960i is the latest Symbian UIQ 3.0 based smartphone to be annouched by Sony Ericsson. The W960i features Wi-Fi 802.11b, Bluetooth v2.0 with A2DP, 3G, a 3.15 megapixel camera, TrackID music recognition with Walkman Touch player. I tell you what, it's top of my Christmas shopping list :)

Apple CEO Steve Jobs posted an open letter on the Apple Web site explaining that Apple will make a software developer kit available for the Apple iPhone. It is believed that the SDK kit will be available in February 2008. The kit will allow third-party developers to create applications that will run on the iPhone and iPod Touch. The reason the kit won't be available until February is because Apple wants to be sure that the iPhone is protected from malicious attacks while still being open to third-party development. Nokia N95 is the top dog!The Nokia N95 has topped the charts and is officially the top selling contract phone in the UK. When this handset was released in March 2007 it was the most highly rated handset in the UK. Because of the Nokia N95's unbelievable specifications, mobile phone retailers all over the UK were taking back orders by the bucket loads. Still to be beaten with its features, the Nokia N95 has in only 8 weeks become the biggest selling handset this year, yet another fantastic job from Nokia. Let’s see if they can top it with the Rumoured Nokia N96, which I've heard has a 6.0 mega pixel camera!
