The HTC Explorer is due to be released in the UK on October 31. This was confirmed today by UK retailer Clove. At this moment, none of the other major UK retailers have confirmed this date, but other sources around the net seem to confirm the release date set by Clove. In fact, Clove has already started taking pre orders for the new HTC handset.
The cost of the handset is expected to be around the £200 mark, and it's also expected to be available on Three and Vodafone for launch. It's possible that other UK networks could pick this handset up in the next few weeks, but there hasn't been any announcements as of yet.
The HTC Explorer is a fantastic low end priced Smartphone, which is aimed at consumers that want all the benefits of having a Smartphone, but don't want to brake the bank for the privilege. The phone is cheap, but that doesn't mean that it's lacking in features.
The HTC Explorer still boosts some very impressive features. It's running Android 2.3 Gingerbread, which also runs the new HTC Sense 3.5 UI. Also, the Smartphone boosts a fair bit of power with its 800MHz single-core processor. The Explorer also features a 3.2-inch capacitive Touchscreen, a 3.0 megapixel rear-facing camera, HSDPA, WiFi, and up to 32GB of expandable memory.
