Details for the HTC Pico was released a short while ago, along with some detailed specifications for the new Smartphone. It has been revealed today that the handset is actually going to be called the HTC Explorer.
what we already know about the phone is that it will be a mid-range smartphone, with a possible slide feature which is very similar to the slide that is currently being used on the HTC Wildfire S. The slide isn't the only similarity between the handsets. The HTC Explorer also has similar specs to the Wildfire S, namely it's 3.2-inch HVGA display, 600MHz processor (Qualcomm MSM7227 platform with Adreno 200 GPU), 384MB RAM, a 5.0 mega-pixel camera and with all the usual data and audio connectivity options.
The one unique features that we know so far that the HTC Explorer will boost is the latest HTC Sense UI 3.5 on top of its Android Gingerbread OS. Maybe more information on the Smartphone will be revealed today at HTC's event later today.
