Samsung have announced their new app store for Samsung Android users in the UK. Unfortunately, the App store is limited to Samsung branded mobile phones, and devices like the Nexus S will not be supported. The App store can be accessed via the Samsung Apps application that comes pre-loaded on Samsung branded handsets.
At first, payments for apps will only be able to be taken via credit cards, so this is probably going to cause a lot of security concerns. I mean who can safely say that they are 100% comfortable putting their credit card details directly into their mobile phones? I know I'm not! The good news is that there are plans in place to allow operator billing in the future, either on your monthly phone bill or taken from a prepaid credit balance set by your mobile phone operator.
Samsung seem to be very excited about the launch, and with big top selling game titles such as Sims 3 HD, Need for Speed Shift HD and 9mm available to download, you can see the App store being a popular portal.
