As part of their new growth plan, Tesco are trialling a free WiFi hotspot service for it's customers to use in four of its stores across the UK. This means that customers can access the internet on their tablet pc or phone whilst they shop absolutely free.
Tesco will be following in the foot steps of other major high street outlets like Starbucks and McDonalds, however they will be the first major UK supermarket to rollout the service. It's primarily aimed at customers who wish to compare prices and read product reviews whilst shopping.
A Tesco spokesman said; "The service is expected to rollout across all stores eventually, but it will be switched off if customers abuse the service by streaming videos and large files."
