So the first UK network to release the Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray looks set to be Three. They have announced this week that the handset is scheduled for release in Q3.
The Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray is a remarkable mobile phone that uses a Sony Mobile BRAVIA Engine for its display, which produces an unbelievable clear and crisp image presentation, with a 3.3 inch 'No Air Gap' touchscreen. Now that's a lot of new words to take in!
The Xperia Ray measures at a mere 9.4mm, and features an 8.1 Mega-pixel camera, with HD video recording. The camera also features a face tracking option for helping you to focus on the main subjects in your video shots.
The phone will boost Android's Gingerbread OS, and also includes the Sony Ericsson Facebook Inside feature, which allows the user to easily access their Facebook across a wide variety of applications. Other specs include WiFi, HSDPA and GPS.
Sylvia Chind, who is the head of handsets at Three 3G said this about the handset: "The Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray, with the latest in Android software, is an excellent addition to the Three smartphone range. The sleekly designed and technology-laden device will appeal to people who not only want a great looking handset but also the most up to date in terms of technology."
