How long have we been waiting for a phone with an actual Facebook button? I don't mean an icon within the operating system; I mean an actual hardware button! It's crazy. Is Facebook really that big? Maybe I'm just too old to see the usefulness. hat being said. It does look very smart and I think this Facbook Smartphone will do well in the UK.
Vodafone 555 isn't much different to any other Smartphone, although it looks remarkably like a BlackBerry handset. The phone isn't running the famous Android OS, but it will in fact be running a proprietary operating system which will be heavily integrated with Facebook. In fact the whole handset is just one big Facebook portal! When you turn the phone on you'll be presented with a Facebook login screen, and the dedicated Facebook button sits right inside the QWERTY keyboard.
The Vodafone 555 Blue looks set to be release in August, priced at around £60. I have to say that it's cheap, and I can see it being popular with the teen market, but I can't say that I would be carrying one of these around with me, but then again, like I said before, I must be too old to really get it! Maybe I'll get my daughter to write a review when we get one in to the office :)
